The N-Way Server
The N-Way Server is a high-performance network co-processor. It performs three valuable functions on a multimedia delivery network.
- Content Streaming Server - The N-Way server can hold the Multimedia files generated by Telepresenters for later offline viewing, replacing costly VoD servers, while freeing the Telepresenter for capture, composition and casting.
- Rebroadcast Server - The N-Way server first provides rebroadcast functions on high-speed networks. It takes Multicast packets coming from a Telepresenter and sets up Multicast Tunnels on Unicast networks, allowing high speed delivery of Multimedia packets on networks.
- Multimedia Conference Bridge - Acting as multimedia conference bridge, the N-Way server can direct packets among clusters of Telepresenters allowing the Telepresenters to act as Video/Graphics Conferencing Stations.
